Covid Passes at Sheffield Students' Union

Updated 09.02.22

Before attending Foundry, Bar One or Interval please carefully read the information below.

With the changing covid environment and end of national restrictions we are removing the need to show your covid pass on nights out. In a recent University survey 96% of our students have reported they have been vaccinated or intend to be. We now believe testing to be the best way to keep our community safe and ask that you take a quick lateral flow test before you come for a night out at the SU. Knowing you’ve tested negative for covid is safer than assuming you are because you’re vaccinated. Pick up your free lateral flow tests from the SU Welcome Desk or from locations across campus.

Feeling Unwell?

Please don’t attend any event if you are displaying any covid symptoms regardless of a negative lateral flow test result.

We’re also operating the following safety measures at the Foundry

  • Our air handling system will operate at full power regardless of attendance
  • Hand sanitising stations are located around the venue
  • Staff will take a lateral flow test before each shift
  • Track and trace will be used at the entrance
  • Card payments are the only method of payment. We are not accepting cash.

We are also asking customers to minimise what they bring into venues to reduce the need for bag checks.
