Performers from WuRanQing Beijing Ballroom Dance Company will collaborate with outstanding performance majors from Wanlin Dance Academy and the University of Sheffield’s Department of Music, in a grand performance of Sino-foreign cooperation, exchange and integration. The cast of the show is huge, and the performances span a wide range of styles.

Popular around China and abroad, the performers of the WuRanQing Beijing Ballroom Dance Academy are graduates of Beijing Dance Academy and other top professional arts schools. Famous for their strength and dancing skills, the members of the company regularly win gold, silver and bronze awards in the famous Blackpool Dance Festival, and are guaranteed to bring a fascinating and immersive experience to the art of performance.
Wanlin Dance Academy
Founded in 2012 by Ms. Luo Wanlin, a professional dancer and choreographer, the British Wanlin Academy of Dance & Performing Arts is dedicated to promoting professional and exquisite Chinese classical and national dance forms. The school provides students with a high-quality and standardised dance art education with excellent teachers and superb facilities supported by scientific dance teaching concepts from around the world, and effective administrative management. With campuses in London and Sheffield, Wanlin Dance Academy provides training in Chinese classical dance, ballet, pop dance, and other dance training foundations for people of all ages.
Wanlin Steele - Invited Guest
Wanlin Steele is a professional Chinese dancer, performer and choreographer based in Sheffield, in the heart of the UK. Wanlin started training as a dancer at the age of ten, and later graduated in Chinese Classical Dance and Performance from the world renowned Beijing Dance Academy.

This group of MA students from the University of Sheffield’s Department of Music have performed on concert stages of all kinds. Whether they are performing as soloists, collaborating with other musicians in chamber orchestras, or contributing their talents to the magnificent symphonies of the orchestra, their performances convey passion, artistry, and a deep connection to music. Alongside personal growth and artistic development they are committed to sharing the transformative power of music with others, believing that music can build cultural Bridges, stimulate dialogue and create positive change.
